The Fourth of July is filled with so much celebration. It is a time to reflect and appreciate our independence through BBQ’s, fireworks, beach trips, lawn games, pool parties, and everything fun in the sun. However, with all the hustle and bustle of this beloved holiday safety is an important measure that many people forget about. Here are some tips on how to have a great time celebrating our country, while also being safe.
Don’t Drink and Drive
Rent a house with some friends or even pitch some tents- just don’t get behind that wheel!
Everything Red, White, Blue
Paint your face, paint your body, or even paint your car! Get in the spirit and celebrate America! (Avoid disrespectfully wearing the flag)
Keep an Eye on the Little Ones
This day can get pretty wild so be careful and make sure your children are always supervised, especially when you are celebrating at a pool or the ocean.
Stuff your Face
Holidays really are an excuse to indulge in all your favorite foods. If you can’t choose between a hotdog and a hamburger? Eat both! Also, if there are flag colored rice crispy treats or cupcakes we highly recommend that you better take advantage.
Firework Safety and Pets
Our furry friends may not understand the excitement we have for this day, so be aware of them when setting off fireworks.
Also, make sure you set them off in an open area and keep a fire extinguisher on hand just in case.
Now put on some Lynyrd Skynyrd and get ready to party, but remember, safety first.
