Summer weekends are sparse so it is important to make every second count and one of the best ways to spend a hot summer day is by the lake!
New England is known for its beloved lake life. You can go kayaking, sunbathe on the dock, go fishing, swim, play water games, and so much more. Us New Englander’s are pretty easy to please, just give us some water and good food and we can make it a party.
There are so many lakes in New Hampshire, so to help you out we picked out three of our favorites that are great for a weekend getaway.
Swain’s Lake in Barrington, NH
Swain’s Lake is 341 acres of clear water and relaxation. There are many houses for rent right on the edge of the water, so take some time off and make it a mini vacation.
Onway Lake in Raymond, New Hampshire
Onway Lake is small but mighty. With beautiful views of the New England woods and tons of areas to pull out your fishing rod you can’t go wrong with this choice.
Squam Lake is located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire bordering Grafton, Carroll, and Belknap Counties and northwest of Lake Winnipesaukee.
Although it is large (second largest in New Hampshire) it is quiet and peaceful. There are also many hiking trails and wildlife to spot in the area.
It may be too hot to get outside, but you can always cool down in the lake!
From your friends at Artisan Electric, go and enjoy a fun and safe lake day!
